Hi — I’m Nicola, and I’m so glad you’re here!
I'm a Cambridge-based photographer but with family in Manchester and Porto, I've always felt at home in more than one place — which, as it turns out, works rather nicely for covering more of the UK and beyond.
I got married recently, fell head over heels with my own wedding photos, and thought: I want to do that for someone else. I'd always loved photography, mostly capturing moments on my travels, but what I've discovered through my shoots so far is that nothing compares to capturing genuine connection — a couple completely lost in each other, or a two-month-old's first little smile at the camera.
When I’m not taking photos , you'll find me outdoors somewhere, usually with my dog Biscuit trotting along beside me, or plotting my next trip. Life's too short not to be outside.
Capturing your big day…
First of all if you’re reading this you’re probably getting married soon and so, I wish you a huge congratulations! I know how much thought goes into choosing your photographer — because I went through it myself. These are the pictures you'll frame on your walls, show your kids, and still look at in thirty years. You want them to feel like your day. And you want the person taking them to be someone kind, someone who reads the room, someone you barely notice is there.
That's the kind of photographer I want to be for you.
I'm not interested in pulling you away from your guests for a stiff posing session. Couples portraits should feel like a breather — a few quiet minutes together in the middle of what is probably the busiest, most emotional day of your lives. My job is to make that time feel easy. I'll guide you gently, but I'm mostly just watching for the real moments — the ones that happen on their own, without anyone asking for them.
This year I had the pleasure of photographing Kitty & Rene at a workshop, they were the most beautiful couple.
Capturing the whole story…
I'd love to be there when you say yes — or when you want to mark a year together, celebrate an engagement, or simply have a morning to yourselves before the big day.
This year I had the privilege of spending an evening with Courtney & Philip for their engagement shoot — and honestly, it was one of those sessions I'll think about for a long time. We were on the beach at blue hour, a crescent moon just appearing overhead, dancing in the water was truly iconic and worth every bit of soggy denim!
That's what I'm here for. Not just the wedding day — the whole love story.
“Wow these are fantastic! I love how they came out! The ones with the moon are amazing!”
— COURTNEY & FILIP, ENGAGEMENT SESSION
What about the little ones?
Tiny hands, tiny feet - so ridiculously cute!
Earlier this year I had the loveliest morning with baby Miley — two months old, absolutely tiny, and genuinely one of the most beautiful little people I've ever pointed a camera at. I could not get over her. Her mum is going to show her those photos one day and she simply won't believe she was ever that small.
If you've got a new arrival on the way, or a little one you want to remember at exactly this age — I would absolutely love to hear from you.
